he's TWO!

Our not-so-little peanut is now a two year old.  We had grandparents and cousin Ava over for a little celebration.  Reilly got spoiled with Mickey Mouse movies, toys, books, and puzzles.  He also got two basketball hoops which he's pretty excited about. 

Some of my favorite Reilly things at two years:

• He is talking so much!  Every morning on our way to daycare we look for cows at two specific farms.  When he sees them he says, "Cows, eatin', huuungry."  His vocabulary grows each day.

• Is still rockin' the big boy bed, but doesn't go to bed until around 8:30.  I usually have to wake him up to get to daycare, but he always wakes up with a smile (after a little stretching).

• Loooves his "gankahs" and cousins.  He has started playing so well with others.  At his little party tonight he was so excited to show Ava all his toys and how they worked.

• He likes to have someone there with him, even if you're not playing.  He'll grab your hand, pull you to a location, and tell you to "sit."  His favorite place to do this is downstairs on the couch.  He bounces on an old twin mattress and likes your company.

• Full on sprints when I get to daycare.  I had been coaching for the first 8 weeks of school and never got to pick him up.  I'm really loving it now! :)

• Is an organized little kid.  He loves to help throw things away or put his clothes in the laundry basket.  He might have some of my slight OCD when it comes to that.  He's gentle with his toys (for the most part) and helps clean up when asked.

I could go on and on... I love this little guy to pieces!  At his check-up today he was almost 29 lbs., and the nurse gave me his height in feet and inches.  This was a first!  He is 2 feet 10 inches tall.  I quickly converted so I could compare to all my other "inches" measurements.  Growing fast!
