Copycat

As soon as I saw Andrea's post about pelmet boxes I knew I had to get to Hobby Lobby and make myself some.  It wasn't too long of a process, and I'm very happy with how ours turned out! :)
Project supplies: foam core board, gorilla glue (probably not necessary), fabric, batting, sheer curtains, duct tape, mounting brackets.
Close up of my fabric.  I had the lady cut the bottom fabric already when I found the top.  I guess I can make pillows or something out of it.
Window before...this will soon be baby's room.
I know it's not "baby" fabric - especially baby boy - but I can't resist paisley.  You can see how technical the whole project is.
Crappy picture quality, but the finished pelmet on the right.  The other is finished, just needs to be mounted.

I love when creative people share their ideas.  Especially easy DIY ones.  The next project I want to tackle is a tufted headboard for the new basement bedroom.

They look great!! It's amazing what a lot of duct tape will do! : )
