First things first - Lindsay had her baby!  Emma Taylor Barnes was born this past Saturday, July 3rd.  No pictures yet, but Eric and I are going to visit them the weekend of the 17th and 18th.  I can't wait to see the little peanut! (and mom and dad, of course)

We spent a relaxing 4th of July weekend at Eric's parents' place.  We stayed longer than expected, but because of the rain it was nice to cozy up and spend some quality time with them.

I've recently joined a "Mom's Group" to help me get out and meet other moms/families.  I went for a walk at Riverside Park on Wednesday and Reilly and I are going to get homemade ice cream tomorrow.  I'm looking forward to branching out and making some new friends.  It's been tough and often isolating at the new house but I decided I need to buck-up and make more of an effort.  The driving sucks, but what can ya do?

A friend from high school invited me out to go pontooning with her on the Mississippi.  I wasn't sure how well Reilly would do so I just planned to be out from 12-2.  We ended up getting off the water at 5.  The kid loves water.  A little too much at times.  He face planted a couple times in the shallow beach area and scared himself.  It's something I hope we get to do a few more times this summer.  Sooo relaxing.

In other water-related news: we bought a pool!  It may only be a $20 Wal-Mart special but it serves it's purpose.  We set it up at Eric's parents and then my lovely hubby set it up in our back"yard".  Looking forward to hanging out with pipsqueak outside at our place for a change.  :)  Apparently I need to tan the tummy and legs...ick!

And finally - is there anything cuter than a giggling baby?  Sorry for the crappy picture quality.  I was hoping by taping in a lower setting it would load faster.  It was a little better.  Any suggestions?

And yes...Reilly cracked his face on the table at the end of the video.  All was better after a few crocodile tears and a hug from mom!
